Abby Shaffer

Abby Shaffer founded Petrichor Art & Literary as a nonprofit to ensure that the mission of amplifying art and voice remains the driving force behind every publication. She’s the author of the lit fic novel Children of the Country and the forthcoming MGFF novel, The Pod of Nerds and the Theory of Everything (August 2028). Her poetry has been published in a variety of literary journals and she has an MFA in Fiction from Queens University of Charlotte. Abby has a background in visual arts, particularly graphic design, cover art, and editorial design. Abby has taught and edited creative writing and rhetoric to grads and undergrads for over a decade. When not kickstarting a new literary renaissance, you’ll find her cycling, dreaming of her next travel destination, hanging out with her son, or creating visual art — both traditional and digital.
Sheila R. Lamb
Senior Consulting Editor
Sheila R. Lamb is senior consulting editor for Petrichor and the founding editor at Triple Fire Press. She holds an MFA in Fiction from Queens University of Charlotte. She is author of the Brigid of Ireland trilogy and her short stories are published in a variety of literary journals. She’s been a writer-in-residence at Weymouth Center for the Arts and Humanities and a fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts (VCCA). During the day, she teaches history and literature in the mountains of Virginia.
Jordyn Washington
Fiction Editor & Digital Engagement Specialist
After graduating from Northwestern with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Jordyn found a new passion in literature and story. She went rogue and in short order earned a B.A. in Creative Writing and English from Southern New Hampshire University. She has a long history of creating fanfiction for various anime and video game series and has edited several fanzines.
Alexander Grant
Fiction Editor & Author Relations Liaison
In addition to reading any great story he can get his hands on, Alexander not only champions for greater queer representation in fiction, he is a passionate advocate for bringing greater representation to fiction in general. His journalism has previously appeared in Anderson University Magazine and his fiction in Twin Bird Review. He currently lives in Georgia with his boyfriend and his cat and enjoys basking in the Golden Isles sun like the finest of reptiles.
Sophie Fisher

Sophie is an artist and designer with a deep love for bright colors, intricate line work, and beautiful florals. Growing up in a family of writers, poets, and artists shaped her creative perspective from an early age. Sophie’s daughter and husband are her daily inspiration and creative wellspring. Cover design is her jam, and you can find her freelance graphic design work at @sophiefisherdesign.
